The original Destroy All Humans! 2 is getting a full-scale PlayStation 5 remake, named Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed. While there’s no release date right now, as the trailer illustrates, you’ll be travelling all around the globe, to the UK, USA, Russia, Japan – and even the moon. The game’s set during the swinging 60s, but is being completely rebuilt using Unreal Engine 4.
In addition to the announcement trailer above, there’s some pre-alpha gameplay footage below as well:
You’ll be able to play the entire campaign in local co-op, and you’ll be able to “hoover up humans” from different countries in order to upgrade your skills.

This doesn't look like a true next gen game. Then why is it a next gen exclusive ??
@SamMR One, it’s not a hugely popular game anyway so they aren’t worried about loosing too many sales. Two, they don’t currently have many other ‘exclusives’ so they’ll take anything? 🤷♂️
I am quite excited about this though. Really enjoyed the first remake.
Wish someone would remake MediEvil 2 as well.
I've been playing the remake of the first game since the trailer for this sequel leaked. It's really fun! Some weird difficulty spikes but still enjoyable. Day 1 for me with this one. To think we got both this and that Spongebob trailer... Iconic! Agh! Cultural reset!
Honestly, I wouldn't argue THQ Nordic had the best showcase this year but it was definitely my favourite. Certainly not everything appealed to me but the devs clearly liked talking about their games and when they had a fluff CGI trailer they would still show in-engine footage after.
I enjoyed these games when they originally came out but I wouldn't be that bothered about them now and I agree with the top commenter, this game doesn't look like it'll be pushing the PS5 at all.
@SamMR So they don't need to worry about holding back the upgrades? I dunno but I'm fine with it cause new gen needs more exclusive titles.
I'm saddened that it looks like they aren't bringing back the telekinesis from the original titles. That was admittedly why I enjoyed the original a lot cause it was just fun watching guys go flying when I threw them up in the air.
@fR_eeBritney medievil 2 would get me on board way faster
Doesn't fill me with any excitement. They are good for an hour or so but I'd not waste my money personally.
Looks great, loved the originals on PS2 and plan on buying the remakes once they go on a bigger sale.
Game looks really good on ps5.will check it out.the remake on ps4 looks good also.definetly the highlight of the show today.word up son
@fR_eeBritney MediEvil 1 has 2 remakes now, so it's about time 2 gets one.
@Nepp67 telekinesis was in the first remake so I doubt they'd cut it from this.
@SamMR What does make a game "true next-gen only"? graphics? level design? gameplay mechanics? AI? You could argue then that a game like Deathloop isn't "next-gen" either... and that it should be on PS4 as well.
Here is the reality, if you are expecting every single game that comes exclusively to these new consoles to blow your mind... either graphically, gameplay wise, or by the way it is designed (levels), then you will be disappointed.
Sure, some games will evolve more than others, but that will take time, and even then, not all games will drastically change, especially in terms of level design and gameplay.... even less remakes like this.
Get your remakes and stick them where the sun don't shine. Let's just keep playing games that were out on the Commodore 64.....yes I'm being a drama queen but I'm bloody sick of it. New Generation new games, new IP, new creativity please
@Discol76 Those take time though and these type of remakes can be made pretty quick with a fraction of the budget by comparison so expect to see allot more. I do however still want to see new ips introduced this gen by a few of Sony's teams, specially ND.
@Juanalf I understand the business case behind it. TBH my frustrations are more aimed at GTA. Bloody PS3 game. It's just seems to be the norm now, milking every last drop. If it wasn't happening so often I'd maybe be less of a drama queen lol.
YES!!! I played the absolute crap out of this game back in the day, hell I played it almost as much as I did Kingdom Hearts 2, Crash Twinsanity, Simpson's Hit & Run, the Sly Cooper Trilogy, Ratchet & Clank Trilogy (And Ratchet Gladiator) and the Jak & Daxter Trilogy (And Jak X). So I am really looking forward to this Remake!
@Orpheus79V I mean the way it works, the original telekinesis worked like the physics gun in Half Life but this one it's stationary whenever you grab someone.
@Discol76 - Some people may not have gotten to play some of these games back in the day (I missed on SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom & have never had the chance to play KOTOR), and some games are simply too hard to come by now on the systems they were available on, not to mention that some games do not age so gracefully (Demon Souls on PS3), be that graphically, or gameplay-wise, thus games that DO receive the Remake treatment, I see that as an absolute win for fans and potential new players.
Though I do understand your frustrations toward GTA and how they resold the same game too many damn times, but there are a lot of games that actually do deserve the Remake treatment, and brought back into the public eye, plus Remakes can be used to determine whether a series can still be viable today, and whether there is enough interest in these games to continue making more games in the series (Crash Bandicoot being a prime example). I mean if Activision or whoever owns the IP for The Simpson's Hit & Run, announced a Remake for that game, and a couple of years later, due to the success of the Remake, they announce The Simpson's Hit & Run 2, I would lose my damn mind and preordered it ASAP.
Will multi-platforms look as good as ps5 exclusive game? In last gen, playstation exclusives were generally the best looking games. It might be the case this generation too mainly because of the series S. To provide a lower price point, they have made a weaker console thats not really next gen and since multi-platforms have to accomodate it, even if they don't have to run it in 4k, I feel this gen might get limited. I really really hope I'm wrong tho.
@Discol76 speak for yourself. Many of us never got to experience some of these games. Yesterday I beat Ratchet & Clank (ps4) for the first time and greatly enjoyed it. Looking forward to many remakes of games I never got to play back in the day.
thats good these kinds of games still exist . gives me hope of video gaming not entirely taking itself serious .
even if this is just a re-release
@Discol76 nah man , the new generation doesn't deserve new ideas , creativity , and IPs . they have to get rehashes of old things we already had ! no more new ideas for the 21st century! 2000's and 20th century only ! lol .
@naruball ''Many of us never got to experience some of these games. ''
'' I beat Ratchet & Clank (ps4) for the first time ''
god bless your heart
Both trailers got me super excited, looking forward to getting this day one unless something comes up IRL.
@SamMR Also surprised this is only on current/next gen consoles...I know alot of friends without PCs or PS5s/XBSXs/XBSSs.
@JustPlainLoco Some valid points. I'm not totally against them, I'm against the amount of them. Each to there own, I'm not here to say who's right and wrong, each to there own. But I won't back down with regards to GTA. Damn fools lol. Happy gaming👍
I played the OG on ps2 for hours and hours. Enjoyed just messing about in games back then, when you sort of made your own story a little as well. Never gelled when I came to play the sequel so and haven't had much interest in the remake of the OG, either. I feel I wouldn't get the same enjoyment out of the small levels or reading thoughts/transforming into people. They were great games back in the day but honestly just feel like other games have ran with most of their ideas, other than mixing in a UFO with tractor beam. I remember trying to play the terrible ps3 game as well, cringe. On a side note, also skip the first video if you don't want to hear terrible music and see 0 gameplay.
"Licence to probe since '69" ha, very funny
This and SpongeBob game is day one buy for me
@KidBoruto That's what I'm saying, it's not like current gen is widely adapted just yet, if it doesn't sell well they will be disappointed but the reason would be the limited audience they released the game to, not the game itself.
@rpg2000 If a game like horizon 2 can be done on old hardware I think this game can also be made on it. The whole idea is why sacrifice this title and release it to a limited audience and then blame the game itself if it didn't sell well.
@SamMR Well we don't have a release date yet, maybe this will be a Summer or Fall 2022 release?
Hopefully there will be more real PS5 owners by then.
@nomither6 what do you mean?
@Discol76 You seem to be confusing remakes with remasters, GTA 5 on PS4 and PS5 are remasters not remakes while DA2 is very much a remake like KOTOR. Remakes are pretty much what Demons Souls PS5 was or Resident Evil 2 (though was a pretty extreme remake).
Honestly bring them on as i like playing classics looking and playing like modern games or more recent games looking and playing better. End of the day its no different then buying a film again on Blu Ray and then years later buying it again on 4k Blu Ray.
@naruball i was basically saying that i hope the ps4 R&C wasnt your first R&C game
Awww I had so many good memories of playing the PS2 originals. they were just good stupid fun, the remake from a year or so ago left me a bit cold, but nice to see the 2nd one getting a ps5 remake
@WallyWest Hey. No I'm aware of the difference. I'm still not a fan of the influx of either. Like I said now and again is fine but not the quantity that are being done now. Each to their own 👍
